Nepalese dal bhat (dal bat or dhal bhat) is composed of white rice (bhat) and lentils (dal) and it is typically accompanied by a vegetable curry (tarkari), a mixture of spicy vegetables (pickles) and greens (sak). It is eaten with papadums in a large metal tray.

MANGO PICKLE
Mango pickle is a favourite additiom to Nepalese food. Heat some mustard oil in a pan and add asafetida into it. After it cools off, pour it over the mango pieces and mix thoroughly so that the spices are coated all over the pieces. Then, take a clean and dry air tight container and store the sour mango pickle into it for future use.

Babari ko Achar is a sauce made from mint leaves, cumin, dhal, pepper, coriander, chilli and coconut. It is delicious and very healthy to eat with meals!
